Who We Are

About us

PolarX Robotics was founded with a vision to redefine cleaning technology through technology, precision automation and human-robotics innovation.

About the Founder

With over 14 years of industry experience at Tennant and more than 8 years as an entrepreneur in commercial cleaning robotics, the founder brings a rare depth of expertise to the field.

Having been personally sold over 10,000 floor scrubbers throughout his career, he understands the operational pain points and unmet needs of the cleaning industry.

Motivated by this insight, he pioneered the development of the first commercial waterless cleaning robot—an innovative solution that eliminates the inefficiencies of traditional wet cleaning, reduces water usage, and addresses long-standing challenges in floor maintenance across commercial environments.

  • Are cleaning robots safe around people?
Yes, they are designed with safety features such as collision avoidance, emergency stop buttons, and slow-speed operation in crowded areas.
  • Do they comply with cleaning and hygiene regulations?
Most commercial cleaning robots comply with industry standards for hygiene and disinfection, especially in healthcare and food service environments.
  • Are there any limitations to using a cleaning robot?
May struggle with extreme dirt buildup or stubborn stains Can require human intervention for corner cleaning or unexpected obstacles Initial setup and mapping may take some time
  • Three Necessary and Scaleable Conditions for Commercial Cleaning Robot Adoption
Condition One: Absolute Floor Safety The floor must be completely dry after cleaning - no residue of water or chemicals. No slip risks should be introduced in pedestrian environments. Safety must be inherently guaranteed, without relying on manual signage or staff to warn pedestrians. Condition Two: Perfect Cleaning Results No wet/dry footprints left behind. No visible dust, debris, or garbage after cleaning. No floor wear—robot must clean gently yet effectively. Floor brightness and visual appeal must improve after cleaning. Must be multi-surface capable—able to clean both hard floors and carpets in one workflow. Condition Three: Real Labor Savings No human intervention for secondary treatment, water refilling, or sewage drainage. Fully autonomous operation over long durations - hands-free cleaning. Robots should self-navigate, recharge, and manage consumables with minimal oversight.
  • How much does a commercial cleaning robot cost?
Prices vary based on functionality, size, and brand. Entry-level domestic models start at a few thousand dollars, while high-end industrial-grade robots can cost upwards of $50,000.
  • What is the return on investment (ROI) for cleaning robots?
ROI depends on labor savings, reduced cleaning time, and improved hygiene standards. Many businesses see cost savings within 1-2 years of implementation.
  • Are there financing or leasing options available?
Yes, some vendors offer leasing or rental plans to make adoption more affordable for businesses.
  • Can cleaning robots be programmed for specific cleaning schedules?
Yes, they can be scheduled to clean at specific times, in designated zones, and with customized cleaning modes.
  • Can they integrate with facility management systems?
Advanced models can integrate with smart building management systems, IoT platforms, and security access controls for automated operations.
  • Can I control the robot remotely?
Our Cleaning robots come with mobile apps or cloud-based dashboards, allowing users to monitor performance, adjust cleaning settings, and track cleaning reports.
  • How do I maintain a commercial cleaning robot?
Regularly empty dustbins or water tanks Clean sensors and brushes to prevent blockages Update software for optimal performance Check and replace worn-out parts like filters and mop pads
  • What happens if the robot breaks down?
Most manufacturers provide technical support, remote diagnostics, and on-site repair services. Some robots also have self-diagnostic alerts for easy troubleshooting.
  • Do cleaning robots require special cleaning liquids?
It depends on the model. Some robots support standard cleaning solutions, while others require manufacturer-approved detergents to prevent damage.
  • How do cleaning robots work?
These robots navigate spaces using LiDAR, cameras, or other sensors, identifying obstacles and adjusting their cleaning paths accordingly. They can mop, vacuum, scrub, or sweep based on their programmed cleaning mode.
  • What are the benefits of using a commercial cleaning robot?
Reduces labor costs Improves cleaning consistency and efficiency Works autonomously, even during non-business hours Enhances hygiene with automated disinfection features Minimizes human intervention in hazardous or high-traffic areas
  • Can cleaning robots replace human cleaning staff?
No, they are designed to complement human workers by handling repetitive cleaning tasks while staff can focus on more detailed or specialized cleaning.
  • What surfaces can cleaning robots work on?
They can clean hard floors, tiles, carpets (depending on the model), and even sanitize surfaces with UV light or chemical spraying.
  • How long can a cleaning robot operate on a single charge?
Most models have a battery life ranging from 3 to 8 hours, depending on usage and cleaning intensity. Some units can autonomously dock and recharge.
  • Do these robots require an internet connection?
Some models function offline with pre-programmed routes, while others use cloud-based AI for real-time analytics, remote monitoring, and updates.
  • Can the robot detect and avoid obstacles?
Yes, commercial cleaning robots are equipped with sensors, cameras, and AI algorithms to detect people, furniture, and other obstacles in their path.
  • Are cleaning robots noisy?
Most models are designed for low-noise operation, with sound levels ranging from 50 to 70 decibels, comparable to a standard vacuum cleaner.
